Iconic Tire Brand Goodyear Enters Marine Market with High-Performance G-Tender RIB

The fabled tire maker with long ties to NASCAR and motorsports is now in the boat business.

Goodyear, the renowned tire company synonymous with motorsports and the automotive industry, is making a foray into the leisure marine industry with the introduction of the Goodyear RIB by G-Tender.

This new RIB is a collaboration with G-Tender, a brand owned by Sardinian shipyard Tender One, and the official licensee of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.

“Being chosen by Goodyear for its debut in the luxury boating world with one of our models is a great source of pride," said Davide Gessa, founder of Tender One, in a press release.

"We are honoured and increasingly motivated to bring such a prestigious and globally recognized brand to the sea. We are confident that the boat’s quality and innovation will be immediately appreciated by the premium market, making this a landmark model in the world of sport inflatable boats.”

The new vessel, dubbed the Goodyear RIB G-10, was first revealed in Milan and will make its official debut at the 2025 Genoa International Boat Show this September.

The boat was designed by architect Marco Ciampa, a long-time collaborator with Tender One. The licensing agreement was arranged by IMG Licensing.

The new design will have obvious allure to the yacht and superyacht tender market, especially given theG-10 will be built in Sardinia, but Goodyear's global relationships could see the boat be applied to commercial settings, law enforcement, border security, or similar ventures.

The G-10 will be based on Tender One’s G-Tender series and is expected to be the first in a range of models between 10 metres (32') and 16 metres (52'6").

The G-10 will carry an LOA of 10.6 m (34'8") with seating for up to 24 people. It will be powered by twin Yamaha 450 XTO outboard engines and available with either a bow thruster or joystick control system.

The G-10 will also feature a carbon fibre T-Top with a coloured weave, custom Atelier Zanasi upholstery, and helm seating covered in a patented carbon fibre fabric developed by Evolution Tech Lab.

Tender One, which has over 30 years of experience in boat design, production, and distribution, has been the exclusive manufacturer and distributor of the G-Tender brand since 2016. The boats are built at the company’s facility in Olbia, Sardinia.

The official unveiling of the Goodyear RIB G-10 will take place at the Genoa International Boat Show from September 18th-23rd, 2025.
