World Cat has unveiled the new 235HB Hybrid for 2026 - a 22'7" catamaran designed to combine inshore, offshore, flats fishing, and family cruising capability into a single platform.
The model will join the company's 2027 lineup and will replace the outgoing 235CC center console.
According to World Cat, the 235HB was developed as a multi-purpose hybrid capable of operating across a wide range of conditions, providing more capability for owners and offering a wide breadth of potential uses. The boat features low-profile gunwales for bay fishing, a 9" draft for shallow-water flats fishing, a twin-hull catamaran design for offshore capability, and seating for up to 10 passengers.
"Our idea was to create a model that allows for offshore, inshore, and flats fishing capabilities, as well as cruising, diving, and skiing/watersports," said Chad Armstrong, World Cat's Director of Sales, in a press release.
"Not only did we accomplish this, but we designed the boat to be ideal for families and individuals alike. We truly feel this is the model for a new boater, seasoned veteran, and anyone in between. It also removes limits for any audience when it comes to usability."

World Cat engineers say the design emphasizes versatility by pairing a shallow draft with the stability of a catamaran hull. The platform also provides increased storage and seating compared with similarly sized deep-V boats.
The 235HB carries an LOA of 22'7" with an 8'6" beam with a maximum power rating of 300 horsepower via twin 150 hp outboards. Standard features include seating for 10 with six forward-facing centerline seats, seven insulated storage compartments - including in-floor fish boxes - a 20-gallon livewell, dedicated tackle storage, a foredeck prepped for a trolling motor, dive ladder, anchor locker, and aft seating sized for two adults.
Standard power comes via twin Yamaha F115XB outboards with an option to upgrade range and capability to twin F150XSA2 engines.
"This model is also extremely easy to trailer, launch, and load, which adds to the ease of ownership for someone heading out on their own while spacious for a large family's all-day adventure," added Armstrong.
Available options include an Edson steering wheel with power knob, freshwater washdown, removable bow backrests, ski tow, removable bow table, an additional 12" Garmin multifunction display, upgraded JL Audio stereo system, and GEMLux Deluxe outriggers with 18-foot collapsible hybrid poles.

The new hybrid platform will offer a unique way to bridge the gap between dedicated bay boats and offshore center consoles. Owners will be able to fish shallow flats, thanks mainly to the lower freeboard and gunnel height, while still retaining the ride ultra-stable characteristics and big-water capability of World Cat's twin-hull designs.
The 235HB continues a busy period of product development for World Cat. Earlier this year, the company introduced the 265DC-X, a next-generation dual-console catamaran featuring a redesigned helm, updated hardtop, expanded seating, and new integration technology.
World Cat also recently expanded their premium dual-console lineup with the 400DC-X Island, a 40-foot flagship model designed for offshore cruising, in 2025.
The North Carolina-based company manufactures outboard-powered center console and dual console catamarans ranging from 23 to 40 feet, with production facilities in both Tarboro and Greenville.
