Formula Launches 360 Super Sport Crossover for 2027
Formula has added a new model to its burgeoning Super Sport Crossover lineup with the launch of the 360 Super Sport Crossover (360 SSC), a 36-foot outboard-powered design combining an open-bow layout with a full-width coupe top, overnight accommodations, and Formula's signature approach to performance and comfort.
The new 360 SSC will carry an LOA of 36' with an 11'3" beam and is built around Formula’s respected FAS3Tech stepped-hull design with 21 degrees of deadrise. The new model will combine the open versatility of a dayboat with the protection and accommodation of a coupe for overnighting and weekend adventures. The SSC-style cockpit and dash matches those wishing for a more sheltered and salon-styled sophistication with a nimble and performance-oriented 36-foot platform.
The new model continues a period of expansion for Formula, which has moved into several new categories in recent years, particularly the development of its Super Super Crossover (SSC) series which already includes the 380, 400, 430, and 500 SSC platforms. The company has also re-focused on center consoles with the 387 and 457 Center Console Sport (CCS) series in 2024. Their latest focus, the 360 Crossover Bowrider launched in 2025, will pair nicely with the 360 SSC for 2027.
The new 360 takes the SSC concept in a new and expansive direction.
Open Bow, Full Cabin
The 360 SSC will retain the company's open-bow, full-cabin dayboat concept while providing a single-level deck and full-width cockpit. Below deck will be a dedicated double berth, an aircraft-inspired galley, and a fully enclosed stand-up head. The cabin offers an impressive 6'10" of headroom. The bunk features a full-size double berth with Aerus memory foam mattress, available with bed linens, custom duvet, and a 32ʺ Smart HDTV.
Above deck, the 360 SSC will boast a full-width fiberglass coupe top with a top-to-bottom windshield, sliding bow window, and powered glass sunroof. A motorized forward vent is also incorporated into the top. Optional side window panels can further enclose the cockpit.
Formula's SmartZone seating extends from the bow through the triple helm seats and into a U-shaped aft lounge. The helm seats are also designed to accommodate standing, leaning or seated operation, with adjustable seat bottoms and two footrest heights.
A Raymarine Axiom 2 12" widescreen chartplotter comes standard, with upgrades available to twin Axiom 2 12" displays or twin XL 16" displays. The 360 SSC also features Mercury DTS (Digital Throttle & Shift) with SmartCraft VesselView, digital switching, and Mercury Joystick Piloting.
Designed for Entertaining
The cockpit includes two aft Corian-surfaced tables with filler cushions that can be raised or lowered for dining or lounging. An outdoor kitchen on the port side includes a Corian countertop, molded sink, Isotherm refrigerator and storage, with an integrated 120-volt cockpit grill available as an option.
At the bow, 330-degree wraparound seating surrounds two dual-height tables, while a molded-in cooler and additional storage are integrated into the area.
Aft, a rear-facing sun lounge features adjustable individual backrests. Under the lounge, a spacious trunk keeps two fenders safely stowed and an accessory power outlet at the ready, with a 12V inflator available. Entertainment capabilities are also extended aft, with four drink holders and a dual USB-A/USB-C charging port at the sunpad and JL Audio speakers. The swim platform includes side extensions and an undermount swim ladder.
The cockpit environment is readily controllable with available 18,000 BTU reverse cycle air conditioner and choice of standard Rockford Fosgate or Fusion stereo with USB port, Bluetooth, and ten JL Audio blue LED lighted chrome, color-coordinated or titanium-finished speakers with 600W amps and a lighted 200W subwoofer. Multicolor LED lighting lets you tailor the atmosphere from day into evening.
Power & Performance
Power options for the 360 SSC include twin 7.6-liter V12 Verado 600s, triple 4.6-liter V8 300s, or triple 5.7-liter V10 350-, 400- or 425-horsepower Verados. All configurations are paired with Mercury Joystick Piloting.
The new design will carry a dry weight of 19,000 pounds with a twin-outboard configuration and 19,400 pounds for a triple-outboard version. Fuel capacity is 275 gallons (1040 liters), while freshwater and holding-tank capacities are each 36 gallons (136 liters).
Formula's spec guide for a triple 425-horsepower V10 configuration shows an estimated 63.0 mph top speed at 6,550 rpm, with a calculated range of 144 miles. The same configuration carries an estimated cruising range of 225 miles at 4,000 rpm and 34.9 mph. Official top speeds and ranges under testing conditions were not listed.
The 360 SSC will mark the latest interpretation of Formula's growing Crossover concept. The lineup has steadily expanded beyond its traditional performance-boat roots to include a new array of luxury features that offer an attractive balance of adrenaline and comfort.
The new model will be formally introduced to the public at the 2026 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show on October 28.
