World Cat has announced two new models, the 265DC-X dual console, and a center console version 265CC-X set to follow in 2026. The dual console 265DC-X will be available to the public in July 2025 while the center console 265CC-X will debut later in 2025.
The new model builds on the legacy of the popular 260DC-X by offering a new layout that maximizes space, storage capacity, and onboard comfort — all hallmarks of the World Cat portfolio.
The Tarboro, North Carolina boatbuilder has been consistently active with its R&D and market evolution, having replaced its most popular model in 2024 and launching the all-new 400DC-X Island the same year.
“Our goal here at World Cat is to continue to learn, grow, and push the limits with every new model we develop,” said Chad Armstrong, VP of Sales & Marketing in a press release.
“The 265DC-X is no different. With this refined running surface, performance has been reimagined, making for a better day on the water, and an even better way to boat.”
Incorporating several new hull modifications, the 265DC-X maximizes stability while improving response from the running surface. The result is enhanced fuel efficiency, precise handling, and responsiveness in all conditions, along with top-tier planing performance in both the 265DC-X and upcoming 265CC-X models. According to the company, the 265DC-X gets on plane three times faster than a similarly sized monohull.
The new model carries an LOA of 25'6" with a 9'0" beam and a 14" draft. She is rated for up to 400 horsepower and carries a fuel capacity of 180 gallons with a 7200 lb dry weight.
The 265DC-X also features a fixed transom with fold-away seats and backrest as standard, with the option to upgrade to a 50” fold-down bench seat that converts into a flush aft casting deck.
Standout features include a helm seat with aft drink box, a Corian bar/prep center with tackle storage, and a fiberglass hardtop equipped with LED spreader lights (1 forward, 1 aft), four blue/white/red recessed LED lights, and outrigger mounting points.
Other standard perks include two anchor locker hatches, a stand-up head with molded fiberglass liner and synthetic flooring, a saltwater washdown spigot, a pull-out aft deck freshwater/shower wand, four gunwale rod holders, a 10 gallon freshwater tank, a 30 gallon livewell with light,
The electronics suite includes a 12” Garmin display, VHF 215, and push switch panel. Also included are a port-side saltwater washdown spigot, a 30-gallon starboard livewell with lights, a 120-quart insulated port cooler/fishbox, and a swing-out YETI cooler seat.
Optional upgrades include a bow table/sun lounge filler with cushion, hardtop rocket launchers with a ski tow, a forward bow shade, four quick release fender holders, and an LED underwater light package, among others.
World Cat also confirmed the upcoming launch of the 265DC-X’s sister model, the 265CC-X center console, which will join the 2026 model year lineup later this summer.
