Palm Beach Motor Yachts has revealed the all-new GT50 RS, an outboard-powered addition to its GT Series pairing serious performance with the company’s luxury sport yacht platform.
The new model will feture a quad outboard configuration and marks the first time the Florida-based boatbuilder has applied its RS (Racing Sport) designation to the GT50 platform. The design was originally developed from a client commission.
"The GT50 RS was born from a client’s vision of a stylish, high-speed commuter for an experienced yachtsman," says the luxury builder.
“The launch of the GT50 RS is another exciting new product and a strong sign of Palm Beach Motor Yachts going from strength to strength,” said Mark Richards, CEO and Founder. “As we continue expanding our global presence, advancing technology, and introducing increasingly innovative yachts, we remain focused on delivering an ownership experience unlike anything else in the world.”
The GT50 RS will be powered by four Mercury Racing 500R V8 outboards producing a combined 2000 horsepower. According to the company, the GT50 RS will boast a top speed of approximately 50 knots (57.5 mph), a significant increase over the inboard-powered GT50 variant which lists a top speed of 32 knots (37 mph).
The GT50 RS will also retain the GT50 platform dimensions with an LOA of 56'1" (17.1 metres), a beam of 14'8" (4.48 metres), and a length on board of 50' (15.24 metres). Displacement is listed at 26,450 pounds (12,000 kg), lower than the standard GT50 due in part to the outboard configuration and changes in construction to accommodate the different engine placement. Fuel capacity is 660 gallons (2500 litres).

The GT50 RS will also use the company's proprietary lightweight construction methods which include carbon fiber and resin-infused materials to reduce weight while maintaining structural rigidity. The company’s variable-vee hull design, known as V-Warp Technology, and performance-oriented running surfaces remain central to the well-known platform.

The floorplan layout features an open cockpit arrangement with multiple social spaces, including aft seating areas, helm seating, outdoor galley facilities, and direct access between entertainment zones. An automotive-inspired helm seating setup and upgraded sport-oriented finishes unique to the RS variant are a major highlight of the main deck.
Other perks include large opening windows and a sunroof to create an open-air, "sports car-like driving experience." The helm and salon can also be enclosed "to provide quiet, air-conditioned comfort more reminiscent of a luxury automobile than a traditional outboard-powered yacht."
Below deck accommodations include a forward stateroom with king size bead, enclosed head, salon space, and overnight capability intended for day boating and short cruising. Highlights include contemporary carbon fiber accents, Alcantara fabric finishes, and precision-crafted detailing throughout. High-gloss teak joinery and handcrafted finish work are notable throughout the interior.
The GT50 RS will now join a growing range of RS-branded models from Palm Beach Motor Yachts looking to expand the company’s performance-focused offerings alongside their existing inboard-powered sport yacht lineup.
