Breakdown of the 22 MXZ and 24 MXZ

Bow Features: The iconic pickle-fork bow in both the 2025 Malibu Wakesetter 22 MXZ and 24 MXZ showcases Malibu's commitment to maximizing space and versatility. It features all-around seating that transforms it into a spacious, adaptable play area, allowing guests to face forward or backward. Fold-down armrests provide extra relaxation, while the optional Natalie seat adds a backrest to the middle bow seat and serves as an effective windbreak. Intelligently placed cupholders and phone holders keep essentials within reach.

The Lounge: The lounge area on the 22 MXZ and the 24 MXZ can quickly transition into stadium style seating for water sports, complete with convenient pop-up rear-facing seating. Owners can also opt for Malibu’s innovative Max-Pivot seat which transforms from a bench seat into a rear-facing seat, a sun bed, or a table.Wet Sounds speakers are scattered throughout the bow and lounge and integrated RGB lighting ensures that the lounge always matches the vibe.

Cool Touch Vinyl is a upgrade available on both boats. Malibu’s non-skid Soft Grip flooring throughout the boats provides a consistently safe surface, particularly during boarding and docking.

Command Center/Helm: The big news at the helm of both boats is the all-new Malibu Command Center. This new system puts all of the boat’s information and controls at your fingertips, allowing the driver to keep an eye on important data or make changes to the wake or wave profile behind the boat.

The Command Center features two new ultra-high-pixel-density touchscreen displays that are brighter and more detailed than previous Malibu designs and offer ideal visibility in both low light conditions and direct sunlight. The ultra-wide touchscreen display spans 15.8”, delivering immersive viewing without compromising the captain’s forward line of sight. The secondary 7” touchscreen display provides quick access to even more functions, including customizing the lounge comfort and convenience features, the music, and the lighting - both RGB and main lights. Navigation is also now included in the Command Center, for that extra peace of mind that comes with always knowing exactly where you are and how to return to the dock.

G10+ Tower: Both the 2025 Wakesetter 22 MXZ and 24 MXZ can be equipped with Malibu's G10+ Tower, an upgraded upgrade first introduced in 2024. The tower includes RGB lighting that can be controlled from the Malibu Command Center and guests can sync the lighting with music, turning the boat into a party hub. Overhead lights in the G10+ illuminate the lounge, making it easy to stow gear after sunset, while optional tower misters keep everyone refreshed on hot days. The fully electric Tower folds down with a simple dial, enabling easy passage under low bridges and for off-season storage. New for 2025, buyers can choose between Wet Sounds Rev 8 or Rev 12 Tower Speakers. The Rev 12 option adds exclusive multi-sync RGB lighting, while the Rev 8 speakers are available in black or white housings. Both options allow customization with a range of non-metallic tower colors to match the boat's exterior. PTM Clamp Force 3.0 Ratcheting board racks can be included as well.

Engines: Both the 2025 Wakesetter MXZ models are powered by Malibu’s Monsoon engines, which are engineered and manufactured in-house.

The 22 MXZ offers a choice between the Malibu Monsoon M5Di or M6Di engines, paired with a standard 17" prop. This combination ensures quick planing and the consistent delivery of premium wakes and waves.

Powering the 24 MXZ is the Malibu Monsoon M6Di engine, which features a design that moves critical components to the front for easy maintenance, enhanced durability, and quieter operation. Like the 22 MXZ, the M6Di in the 24 MXZ is coupled with a 17" prop, guaranteeing top-tier wake and wave performance. For those seeking even more power, the optional Supercharged LT4 engine delivers an impressive 607 horsepower alongside unmatched torque.

Surf System: Both new models use Power Wedge III, Surf Gate, Surf Band, and Malibu’s fast-fill hard tank ballast, all controlled through the Malibu Command Center.

Pre-loaded surf presets in the Command Center are designed for various skill levels, enabling users to create the ideal wave or wake for their needs. The system automatically adjusts Power Wedge III, Surf Gate, and ballast tanks to generate perfect waves on either side of the boat. For those who prefer customization, the Command Center allows detailed control over wave shape and size, tailoring the experience to each rider’s preferences.
