Godfrey Marine is expanding their already industry leading AquaPatio series with the introduction of a narrower performance platform featuring a dual engine configuration. The new AquaPatio Twin will carry a beam of 8'6'' for easy trailering and will boast a dual engine configuration available in several packages ranging from 150-300 HP per engine.
Other performance features generated by the platform will include differential thrust, better maneuverability, and when coupled with an optional joystick system, enhanced close quarters docking. Available lengths will range from 25-28 feet with capacities up to 13 passengers. The dual engine configuration will be available on AquaPatio models including the AP256 SB (Split Bench), AP256 UL (Ultra Lounge), AP256 SBW (Split Bench Windshield) and AP256 ULW (Ultra Lounge Windshield).
Also for 2021, interior layouts for all AquaPatio models will be completely restyled. Upgrades include forward lounges with armrests for added comfort, automotive-style cupholders with USB charging capability, and dedicated storage for electronics and small items.
According to Ben Duke, general manager of Godfrey Marine, “The new dual-engine AquaPatio models offer owners unprecedented comfort and control. Two engines obviously give you more power, but they also make maneuvering in tight quarters a snap. This platform lets you entertain and play to your heart’s content with no stress, providing memories that will last a lifetime.”
Further to their engine upgrades for 2021, Godfrey Marine also announced a new series of performance tube packages for the upcoming year. Dubbed the 'Innovative Marine Power and Control Technology (iMPACT+) performance pontoon system, the new tubes are designed to increase passenger capacity, maximize engine output, and improve overall ride efficiency via a markedly stronger platform.
A system of continuous integrated saddles, full tube length lifting strakes, and a full length under-deck skin that curves to the top of each tube, the iMPACT+ tubes will increase rigidity to the overall platform, thereby increasing total efficiency during cruising and refining engine output. The improved performance will be most notable on higher-horsepower platforms through a higher top speed and increased fuel economy.
According to Godfrey Marine director of product management and marketing Wally Ross, “The application and integration of the iMPACT+ system technology into our other performance tube platforms is a true game changer. It’s not often that you see such a step-change improvement in efficiency from a technology that results in both higher top speed and better fuel economy. This innovation and forward thinking are what has established us as a recognized leader in an industry that we established in 1958.”
The iMPACT+ performance tube packages will be available on Sweetwater, Monaco, AquaPatio and Sanpan series boats as optional or standard equipment, depending on the model. Available configurations include the following:
• The 27-inch Sport Tube Package with a ¾ length 27-inch diameter center tube in front of the standard motor pan in conjunction with 25-inch diameter outer tubes.
• The 29-inch Sport Tube Package with a ¾ length 29-inch diameter center tube in front of the standard motor pan in conjunction with 27-inch diameter outer tubes.
• The GTP (Godfrey Tri-Power) 27-inch Center Tube Package with a full length 27-inch diameter center tube with integrated motor pod and 45-gallon fuel tank in conjunction with 25-inch outer tubes.
• The iMPACT+ 29-inch Center Tube Package has a full-length 29-inch diameter center tube with integrated motor pod and a 61-gallon fuel tank in conjunction with 27-inch diameter outer tubes.
