One of boating's sleekest builders has released an exiting collaboration.
Boutique Austrian builder Frauscher has teamed up with electric company Evoy Motors to unveil the Frauscher 740 Mirage Air.
The boat recently debuted at Boot Tulln 2025, which takes place in Tulln, Austria and ran from March 6th-9th.
The Austrian company is no stranger to high-end collaboration as they broke new ground in both the automotive and marine markets with the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air last year.
Frauscher, based in Ohlsdorf, Austria, was founded in 1927. The company has recently enjoyed an upswing in the high-end dayboat market and has expanded rapidly across North America. Their luxury-laden dayboats have become common as tenders for superyachts and as boutique dayboats in exclusive locations.
Evoy Motors, based in Florø, Norway, is owned in part by Axopar Boats, who are based in Helsinki, Finland. Axopar has taken a leading stance in electrification in boating and recently worked with Evoy to unveil the line of AX/E electric boats -- which included the industry's first 300 horsepower electric outboard.
Now together, Evoy and Frauscher have built the 740 Mirage Air -- an electric center console that captures Fraushcher's signature minimalist style while packing an impressive array of electric features.
“Our collaboration with Evoy // Vita is about more than a single boat—it’s about shaping the future of sustainable yachting. With strong demand across the European market, we see this as just the beginning of a long-term commitment to high-performance electric boating,” said Georg Frauscher, Head of Boatbuilding at Frauscher in a press release.
The 740 Mirage Air is powered by the Evoy Breeze 120+ horsepower inboard motor. Evoy also offers 300+ horsepower and 400+ horsepower inboards in the Breeze lineup.
The 740 Mirage Air carries an LOA of 7.47 m (24'6") with a 2.5 m (8') beam. She is rated for 7 passengers and weighs only 2000 kg (4400 lbs).
Her list of standard features includes a white deck and hull, stainless steel fittings, and white vegan leather upholstery. The cockpit and bathing platform feature a teak floor, while the stainless steel bathing ladder has teak rungs. Additionally, the boat is equipped with LED navigation lights, fenders, mooring ropes, a fire extinguisher, anchor, and a boathook, with an anchor box at the bow and a flagstaff at the stern. The air intake is made of carbon fiber, and a bow-thruster is also standard. LED lighting surrounds the cockpit and bathing platform, and a stainless steel waterski hook is available for watersports. In terms of tech, the 740 Mirage Air includes a trip computer, GPS speedometer, rudder position indicator, charge port, and battery charger.
Some of her intriguing options include specialty color hull and deck colours, including dark grey, anthracite, black, dark green, and light grey, with a matching special color for the upholstery outside. An electrical mooring windlass with remote control is also available, as it anti-fouling paint for added protection. Entertainment options include a marine stereo with USB, Bluetooth, and water-resistant speakers. The Lounge Package offers a teak table and upholstery for a sun pad in the bow, while a fridge drawer provides added convenience. Additional features include a bimini top, a bimini top for the back area, a spray hood for the bow, and an overall storage cover.
In terms of power, a smaller 50 kW Evoy motor with 8x Lithium Batteries (6 kWh) offers a range of about 74 km and a maximum speed of 28 km/h with a range of 21 km at V-max. The larger 90 kW continuous, 137 kW peak motor with a 63 kWh battery provides a range of 60 km at 55 km/h top speed and 43 km/h cruising speed, with a range of 27 km at V-max.
“Frauscher is a pioneer in luxury electric boats, and we are thrilled to power their vision with our cutting-edge propulsion systems. With the strong interest we’re already seeing, this partnership represents a significant step toward a cleaner, more exciting future on the water,” added Leif Stavøstrand, CEO of Evoy.
