Bayliner Introduces New V22 and V22i Across Europe


Bayliner Boats has announced the European launch of its new V22 Series, including the V22 outboard and V22i sterndrive models.


The V22 Series was first introduced in North America in June and will succeed Bayliner's VR6 series. It will now be introduced to European markets with a number of market-specific features and equipment. The VR6 series sold over 4,000 units in the last decade, according to the company.


“For more than a decade, the VR Series has been at the heart of Bayliner. The V22 carries that legacy forward, built on what our customers have told us they love, with the space, capability, and refinement today's boating families expect,” said Vittorio Bichucher, President, Venture Boat Group, in a press release. “It's a boat built to compete confidently in the 21- to 23-foot segment, and we look forward to introducing the series to our dedicated dealers and passionate Bayliner customers.”


The V22 Series features sculpted hull sides, an expanded cockpit, and twin captain’s seats with 180-degree swivel capability. The new models also include integrated courtesy lighting, multiple phone-charging locations, and storage throughout the cockpit and bow.


For the European market specifically, Bayliner is offering both models with a range of additional equipment. Options include a Bimini top with full enclosure, an integrated galley with sink, portable stove and drawer refrigerator, an electric bow windlass, and an adjustable sun pad with an inclinable headrest.


Cockpit seating can be configured in either U-shaped or L-shaped layouts. Other available features include a real teak cockpit table and GatorStep flooring.


The V22 will be powered by Mercury outboards, with European models available with up to 250 horsepower. The V22i uses a MerCruiser sterndrive with up to 250 horsepower.



Both models carry an LOA of 6.99 m (23'11") with a 2.54 m (8'6") beam, with a 20-degree deadrise. The V22 has a maximum capacity of 12 people, while the V22i is rated for up to 11 passengers.


“Every aspect of the V22 Series was designed around making time on the water easy, enjoyable and memorable,” said John Barbier, Director of Design and Strategy at Venture Boat Group, in the company’s announcement. “From the spacious seating arrangements to the premium onboard amenities, these boats provide the versatility consumers want whether they’re cruising the coast, enjoying watersports or spending a relaxing afternoon with family and friends.”


The European V22 and V22i will make their public debuts at boat shows this fall. Bayliner has listed the HISWA show in the Netherlands, Southampton International Boat Show in the United Kingdom, Grand Pavois La Rochelle in France, Interboot Friedrichshafen in Germany, the Genoa International Boat Show in Italy, Boatshow Poland in Warsaw, and the Barcelona International Boat Show.


The succession of European launches follows a recent expansion of Bayliner’s model lineup.

In early 2025, the company announced the V20 Series, consisting of the V20 outboard and V20i sterndrive. The V20 replaced the VR5 and introduced the same basic combination of an outboard and sterndrive model within a new bowrider platform similar to the new V22 series.


Later in 2025, they also unveiled the C21i cuddy cabin for the European market. The 6.39 metre (20'11") model was also developed for the European market and uses a MerCruiser 4.5L sterndrive rated from 200 to 250 horsepower.


The largest new development in the company's overhaul was the 2024 introduction of Explorer and Pilothouse models under the Trophy brand. The company also underwent a complete rebranding in 2024.
