Flite and Axopar have entered a strategic collaboration to introduce an e-foil designed specifically for boaters.

Developed for boaters who want to explore further, reach new locations, and add a new dimension of adventure to life on the water, the Flite AIR x Axopar board marks a new pathway for the growing e-foiling market.

Previewed at Boot Düsseldorf, the Flite AIR x Axopar board combines refined hydrofoil design with boater-focused usability.

The Collaboration

At the heart lies a shared vision: to create new adventures, attract new boaters, and inspire people to explore nature in ways they may not have experienced before. Both Axopar and Flite share a common ambition to expand how people experience life on water.

“Axopar has set the benchmark in adventure boats and Flite has been focused on pushing the boundaries of electric hydrofoiling performance,” says Nick Stickler, President of Flite, in a press release.

“Together, we are combining that innovation to offer Axopar owners a premium, integrated eFoil solution that feels engineered into the boat from day one, rather than added on later."

When combined with an Axopar vessel, Flite AIR x Axopar transforms the boat into a mobile base — enabling riders to foil in locations that are often inaccessible from shore. Quiet bays, narrow passages, and remote coastlines become part of a day’s journey, opening new possibilities for exploration.

It has led me to learn something new and to experience being on the water in an entirely new way. Designed for Boaters

Unlike standard eFoils developed primarily for beach launches, the Flite AIR x Axopar board has been engineered for the realities of boating life.

“The idea was to evolve the Flite AIR into something purpose-made for boaters — easier to handle and store, more durable around docks and hulls, and more welcoming for beginners. A board suited not only for short rides, but for real exploration,” said Viitala.

Purpose-Built for Exploration

Flite AIR x Axopar combines functionality with an exploration-led aesthetic. Integrated features include:

A secure bungee system
Branded dry bag
Attachment points enable the board to be tied safely alongside the boat when resting or switching riders
A forward gear strap allows small personal items to be brought along

Every detail is shaped by the needs of recreational boaters, from reinforced deck and nose protection to intuitive grab points and tie-off solutions. Inspired by the Finnish Archipelago of Kasnäs, the custom deck pad features laser-cut seafloor topography, while a color palette aligned with Axopar’s evolving design language, including tones from the latest Axopar 38.

Flexible Propulsion and Rider-Focused Safety

The Flite AIR x Axopar shares the same geometry precision and underwater performance as the Fliteboard PRO, and supports Flite’s interchangeable propulsion systems, allowing riders to choose between different performance and safety configurations:

Fully shielded Flite Jet 2 for maximum peace of mind, especially for beginners or younger riders
Propeller with guard for a balance of performance and protection
Open propeller for experienced riders seeking higher responsiveness

The board is compatible with all Flite wings, masts, and propulsion options, allowing riders to upgrade and adapt the setup as their experience develops. The Flitecell Sport is the recommended battery option for optimal ride time and performance.

The system integrates with the Flite App, enabling users to track sessions, speed, distance, and battery usage, while also connecting with the wider Flite community.

Where to Find One

The Flite AIR x Axopar board will be showcased as a prototype at Boot Düsseldorf, with preorders opening during the show. Serial production is planned to begin in spring 2026, with first deliveries targeted shortly after. Customers can order the board through three different channels:
