Saxdor Unveils AI-Driven ‘Co-Captain’ App to Assist Boaters

MySaxdor AI app

Saxdor has introduced an AI-powered platform designed to act as a round-the-clock “product genius,” giving boaters instant access to technical knowledge, interactive guidance, and smart configuration tools.

The Saxdor AI system is aimed to transform how boat captains buy, own, and maintain their vessels by extending support beyond the showroom or marina. The program was developed in partnership with Finnish AI company Cadentia.

“A world-class boating experience goes way beyond the boat itself. It is about the ease, confidence, and enjoyment. While consumers have become familiar with AI-powered features in apps in many areas of their lives, boating has long lacked this kind of seamless experience,” said Erna Rusi, CEO of Saxdor Yachts, in a press release. “With Saxdor AI, we’re bringing the same intuitive, connected experiences into the world of boating, allowing our customers to focus on what truly matters: the pure joy of being on the water.”

Using the MySaxdor companion app, Saxdor’s network of more than 50 dealers in 150 locations around the globe can connect with customers through the app, raising the bar for engagement between manufacturer and end user. It will function as a comprehensive owner’s assistant — available anytime, anywhere.

Tatu Heikkilä, CEO and co-founder of Cadentia, added, “Saxdor is the first in leisure boating to offer its owners a dedicated AI companion of this caliber, a tool designed exclusively for their journey on the water. It’s a powerful example of how brands can harness AI to guide, inspire, and build trust with customers at every step, creating ongoing connections instead of just reacting to frustration. Saxdor is showing what it means to truly put owners first, giving them an experience no other boatmaker currently provides.”

Among its capabilities are AI-driven onboarding sessions, which help new owners understand and learn to utilize their boat’s features. The app also provides a direct line to Saxdor for personalized assistance, troubleshooting, and tailored recommendations, allowing boat owners to monitor their boat's status, conduct research about maintain, or help diagnose a potential issue. At its core, the app provides ownership guidance, technical support, and practical tips without requiring the boat owner to contact a dealer. The MySaxdor app will first be available on three models starting in 2026 -- the 340 GTWA, 400 GTO, and the 400 GTC. The Finnish boatbuilder will unveil the MySaxdor AI system as well as their innovative Digital Showroom at the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival from Sept 9th-14th.
