Riviera Premieres All-New 58 Sports Motor Yacht

2024 Riviera 58 SMY

Australia's Riviera Yachts has announced a new model for 2024- the 58 Sports Motor Yacht.

The announcement comes on the heels of the recent launch of the 585 SUV in October and will add to to the luxury brand's existing SMY lineup consisting of the 46, 50, 64, and 72.

The launch party was privy to a select group of owners currently in line for delivery and captured the first look at the model's layout and potential.

Riviera Australia owner Rodney Longhurst praised the Riviera team in a press release. “Our amazing team is creating truly world-class luxury motor yachts. This new 58 Sports Motor Yacht is in a league of its own. To think you can have three staterooms and three bathrooms, a crew cabin or utility room, a full-height walk-through engine room, sports cockpit, huge entertaining and living space and a fully enclosed air-conditioned flybridge – all in a sub 60 foot yacht – that’s a remarkable yacht,” said Rodney.

Two of the 58 SMY's recent purchasers got to be front and center for the ceremony -- getting to step onboard and christen their new vessel alongside Riviera's team and guests.

Once in the water, the 58 did a slow pirouette prior to docking before guests were invited aboard to tour the vessel. Attendees also got the chance to tour Riviera's 16.8 hectare facility.

The 58 SMY will offer all the Sports Motor Yacht amenities consistent with the lineup including an all-water sports cockpit, walk-around side decks, foredeck lounge and entertaining zone, all-weather alfresco deck entertaining, and a saloon with internal staircase to a fully enclosed, air-conditioned flybridge and helm.

Below deck the accommodations are immense with three staterooms and three bathrooms. The full-beam master suite also features a private bathroom and walk-in wardrobe, as well as an optional breakfast bar and fridge. The accommodation deck also houses a utility room or crew cabin aft of the master. As a utility room, diving and fishing gear can be passed down from the cockpit via the engine room and stowed -- or it can be used as a personalised laundry with a separate washer and dryer, easily accessed via a walk-in wardrobe in the master suite.

Up top, to the portiside of the entry is an alfresco deck and barbecue centre. A premium twin-plate electric barbecue, sink and integrated rubbish bin are all included. A plush lounge to port also converts to a double daybed for lazy afternoons. Opposite is an L-shaped lounge dining area with a folding teak table and stainless steel drink holders.

The foredeck features plush lounge seating for up to eight guests, as well as a removable GRP table with drink holders, an insulated cool box, and speakers linked to the saloon entertainment system.

The saloon is a major focal point in the design and features a bar/serving station with double door full-size refrigerator, wine cooler and drinks cabinet for bottles and glassware, and a complete galley with full appliances. A L-shaped leather lounge dining area with folding timber table compliements the room. A matching ottoman doubles as a coffee table with the flip of a cushion.

The impressive helm station features touchscreen navigation and operation technology fo allow for a cool breeze while underway and better airflow while at anchor. Major performance features include the complete Volvo Penta Assisted Docking system, while twin Volvo Penta D13 IPS 1350s engines pushing 1000 hp each provide ample power.
