Pursuit Boats has added to their flagship Sport family of outboard center consoles with the addition of the all-new 2021 S 428. The new vessel was unveiled to marine industry professionals and VIP attendees last weekend in Pursuit's hometown of Fort Pierce, FL and will make its public debut at the upcoming 2020 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show beginning this weekend.

As the flagship to their popular center console Sport Series, the S 428, Pursuit's goal throughout the design and R&D phase was "to make it iconic." According to the company press release, "the size, power and amenities... deem it the epitome of a legend—combining the versatility of the sport in unrivaled style and comfort."

The S 428 boasts an LOA of 43'9" with a 13' beam, making it both the largest Pursuit ever built and the most powerful. The added size also yields more interior space, and a thoughtful layout with a litany of clever amenities is a notable highlight of the interior design. The boat is powered by quad Yamaha 425 XTO outboard engines for a max output of 1700 hp and a cruising speed of 31 mph at 3500 RPM. It will also boast an industry-first second row of powered convertible seats beneath the oversized hardtop.

The S 428 also hosts an impressive list of standard fishing features, making it a versatile option for those looking to mix pleasure cruising with serious deep water angling. It comes standard with 12 rod holders (4 in gunwale, 4 in transom, 4 in bow), 3 fishboxes, extra-large fridge/freezer boxes, a cockpit tackle center, bait prep areas, rod storage in 3 locations (in-cabin, under hardtop, and under gunwales), and hull side doors both port and starboard.

For entertainment, there is multi-function forward lounge seating with a plush aft-facing seat. A spacious cabin holds yacht-quality features throughout, most notably an open concept layout with lots of natural light generated to large cabin and hullside windows. A second station tower is an option that offers access to both sides from inside the cockpit. A 32" LCD tv with custom surround sound resides in the cabin, coupled with a JL Audio Media Master full function display.

According to Bruce Thompson, President of Pursuit Boats, “The S 428 is brimming with amenities so you and your family can really do it all. Whether that’s swimming up to the electro-hydraulic hull-side beach platform, fishing from the ample aft cockpit or getting ready to grill in the entertainment center, every detail was designed to go beyond your expectations. Thank you to everyone who had a hand in making this boat an icon. We are very proud of this model. The S 428 is the perfect flagship representation of what Pursuit delivers to the center console market – the ability to cruise, entertain, and fish in style and comfort.”
