Prestige Partners with Swarovski to Build Crystal-Infused Yacht

The Limited Edition Prestige 690 will feature an interior with multiple surfaces of custom crystal accents

Just when you think you've seen it all in boating, you haven't.

French luxury builder Prestige Yachts has partnered with the well-known Swarovski brand to build a crystal-infused, jewel-encrusted, limited edition Prestige 690 yacht.

The companies are calling the partnership "a sensorial and refined experience... combining Swarovski luxury with Prestige 'art de vivre.'"

The two luxury brands state that "light and space" of the various areas onboard will be enhanced by the presence of Swarovski custom-crafted surfaces and inserts. The various panels and inserts will showcase a "highly complex glass panel s integrated with Swarovski crystals." The ultra-lux details will be found throughout the main deck living area, lower deck, master stateroom, and ensuite bathroom.

"We worked on living areas of the yacht to offer a subtle and refined decoration to our owners,” said Clemence Cessou, Prestige 690 Product Marketing Manager.

“The larger surfaces are created combining panels embellished with Swarovski crystals with grey oak grooved wood and mirrors. This solution creates contrast and an alluring texture for a unique sensorial experience, delivering an ultimate modern home design at sea!" he added.

"It has been inspiring to work and delight our customers in a partnership with Swarovski, a brand that shares with PRESTIGE the values of craftsmanship, purposeful innovation and the relevance of offering clients a sensorial experience" said Prestige General Manager Erwin Bamps.

As for the 690 itself, it's quite a ride even before the crystal accents.

The vessel carries an LOA of 70'4" (21.45 m) and is powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS 1200 (900 hp) or 1350 (1000 hp) diesel engines, for combined output of either 1800 or 2000 hp. She boasts a 25 knot cruising speed (28 mph), a top speed of 30 knots (34 mph), and has a range of 350 nautical miles. There are also accommodations for eight guests and two crew, including a master stateroom with ensuite and a separate head and living quarters for both guests and crew.

The 690 also utilizes the ultra-handy and high-end monitoring system known as SEANAPPS. The monitoring technology allows you to view the entirety of your boat's features in real time, as well as schedule maintenance services or view maintenance logs all through a dedicated mobile app. It also integrates with a camera system allowing you to have real-time visual monitoring anywhere on the boat. You can even set up geofencing and anchoring, and get real-time alerts anytime the boat steps outside your ideal settings.

In other words, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the crystalline settings.
