Mercury Marine has announced the renewal of two exclusive five-year supply agreements with Axopar Boats and Saxdor Yachts.
With Axopar, Mercury will maintain a relationship that has spanned more than a decade.
“Our partnership with Axopar is built on mutual respect and a shared dedication to innovation," said Mercury President John Buelow in a press release. "We are proud to extend our supply agreement and look forward to fueling Axopar’s growth in the years ahead. The synergy between Mercury’s high performance outboard engines and Axopar’s award-winning boat designs has set new standards in the marine industry, offering customers reliability, efficiency, and enjoyment on the water.”
Mercury has consistently powered the Finnish boatbuilder since it burst into the mainstream and has kept their presence at all major boat shows in both Europe and North America. Axopar also owns a 10% stake in Evoy Motors in their push to drive electrification and sustainable boating. Evoy Motors, based in nearby Norway, has pushed the capability of electric outboards into near-parity with gas engines, having hit the 300 horsepower milestone with an Axopar AX/E 25 showcased at Fort Lauderdale in 2024.
Axopar and Mercury will showcase their own renewed collaboration with the upcoming debut of the Axopar 38 at the Düsseldorf Boat Show in January 2026 — a vessel expected to be powered by twin Mercury 350 hp V10 outboards.
Axopar also announced big plans for 2026 earlier this year with plans to launch the Axopar 38 Range, a new mobile app for owners, and expand their BRABUS premium lineup.
Fellow Finnish boatbuilder Saxdor will also partner with Mercury for the next five years with a similar announcement. The original partnership began six years ago when Saxdor first entered the market with Mercury as its sole engine supplier.

In those six years, Saxdor has pushed its presence globally and made significant inroads in North America. The company unveiled their innovative 340 GTWA at the Palm Beach International Boat Show in March, with the innovative open concept walkaround cabin cruiser and their new flagship 460 GTC getting major industry attention.
“The 340 GTWA is a significant addition to our lineup for the U.S. market," said Keith Miller, VP of North American Sales at Saxdor, at the 340 launch. "Its spacious layout, adaptability to various weather conditions, and premium features make it an excellent fit for American boaters, whether they are cruising in Florida, the Great Lakes, or along the Pacific coast. Palm Beach provides the ideal setting for its debut, and we look forward to offering visitors the opportunity to experience its unique qualities firsthand.”
During the 2025 Cannes and Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show, Saxdor also announced the launch of the all-new 400 GTS as another iteration in its popular 400 Series.
The renewed agreement will see Mercury Marine continue to supply its latest range of engines exclusively to Saxdor. The partnership also enables Saxdor to maintain its competitive edge as it pushes into the North American market.
“We are thrilled to extend our exclusive partnership with Saxdor,” said John Buelow, President of Mercury Marine. “Together, we have achieved remarkable milestones and delivered exceptional products to boating enthusiasts worldwide. This new five-year agreement reaffirms our shared commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction," said Buelow. #news #mercurymarine #axopar #saxdor
