Vernon, British Columbia boatbuilder KingFisher has launched the all-new 38 GFX, the company's largest and most advanced model ever.
The 38 GFX will carry an LOA of 38' with a 12'2" beam, making it substantially larger than its previous flagship 3425 GFX.
KingFisher has largely led the charge for Canadian West Coast-style boat development, having launched the well-received 3025 XRS and 2725 XRS in 2024 and the 23 and 25 XAC in 2025.
As the newest member in the company's Offshore category, the 38 GFX will be built on the company's industry leading Pre-Flex hull technology. The new design incorporates a Shearwater bow intended to improve ride quality and structural performance in offshore conditions. Hull and cockpit specifications include a variable 18-degree deadrise, 0.250-inch aluminum bottom plating, and a full-width triple-engine offshore bracket with a walk-through transom door. The cockpit features a self-bailing raised deck with freeing ports, an integrated roof extension with a powered telescopic shade, insulated fish lockers, and a transom fish-processing station. The hull is covered by a limited transferable lifetime warranty.

On the main deck, the enclosed cabin provides nearly seven feet of headroom and comes equipped with both heating and air conditioning. Interior features include dinette seating for six that converts to a berth, finished interior paneling, and marine flooring. The galley is equipped with a stainless dual sink, convertible AC/DC refrigerator/freezer, microwave convection oven with air-fry capability, double-burner stove, and a 60-gallon freshwater system.

Standard onboard systems include a 900Ah lithium house battery bank, digital switching with remote key fob and multifunction display control, Siren 3 Pro monitoring, dual 16" Garmin chartplotters, and a marine audio system with subwoofer. The main helm also features radar, aluminum radar mast, VHF radio, Sonar, and NMEA Network.
Other perks include a wireless phone charger mounted at the main helm, dual USB A and C outlets throughout the cabin and sleeping areas, Interior LED cabin lighting, and a 3kW inverter/charger.
Optional equipment includes gyroscopic stabilization, a diesel auxiliary generator, a remote bow thruster, and additional fishing packages.
Available packages include a Trophy Angler Package, an Armorcoat cabin and top deck upgrade, and a painted waterline stripe accent colour.
To allow for extended offshore trips, the 38 GFX carries a large fuel capacity of 1,514 litres (400 US gallons) and is rated for up to 1,350 horsepower. The launch model features triple Yamaha 350 hp outboards with other power configurations available.
Below deck, sleeping accommodations include a forward cuddy with a pillow-top queen berth and an aft cabin with a convertible queen berth. The layout also includes an enclosed head with a separate shower. Cabin headroom is an impressive 6'11".
The 38 GFX will make its public debut at the upcoming BC Boat Show running April 30th to through May 3rd at the Port of Sidney Marina in Sidney.
