Correct Craft, owners of popular brands including ski-boat company Nautique and engine builder Indmar, has announced the launch of a new pontoon brand called Revel Boats.
The new lineup was designed to combine above-average performance for a pontoon mixed with the comfort and amenities of a towboat.
“At Correct Craft, our focus has always been about making life better for our customers, our people, and our communities,” said Bill Yeargin, CEO of Correct Craft in a press release. “Revel gives us an opportunity to bring that same spirit to the pontoon market. It’s about building boats that help people connect, explore nature, and create memories that will last a lifetime.”
One of Revel’s breakthrough innovations is the Steptoon with Revel Tracking System (RTS). The Steptoon significantly reduces drag, increases top-end speed, and enhances maneuverability at moderate and high speeds. According to the company, the new RTS concept represents the most meaningful improvement to pontoon performance since the introduction of the tri-toon.
The first model will be the RS25, which will come in several variations including the RS25RL with increased performance, an RS25L with a hardtop tower and 300 Mercury Verado, and the RS25 Midnight Edition with the full complement of performance and luxury features.
The RS25 will carry an LOA of 25' with an 8'6" beam and a 31" draught. She will have a tube length of 24'6" with a dry weight of 4700-59000 lbs depending on specs and a 62 gallon fuel tank. The new design will be rated for 225-550 horsepower with a max capacity of 12-15 passengers depending on layout.
“We believe great boating starts with innovation and making memories on the water. That’s why our team passionately crafts elegant boats inspired by our customers’ stories," said Revel Boats president Chris Grueber.
Standout features on the RS25 will include an optional telescoping tower, wireless smartphone connectivity at the helm, and layouts that provide a unique blend between typical pontoon and towboat styles, allowing users to mix socializing with watersports.
Other smart features include convertible aft lounge seating that can be repositioned whether you're cruising, socializing, or towing. A convertible co-captain's seat allows the helm area to be reorganized to create a larger stern social space. A unique windshield design provides protection across the helm while also giving access to the bow lounge. A full complement of RGB lighting is available for the cockpit, underwater, and in the speaker zones. A premium audio package includes 8 JL Audio M6 speakers with two subwoofers.
Those looking for the best performance can upgrade as high as a Mercury Racing 500R outboard. Other options including a Mercury 225 4-stroke, Mercury 300 Verado, or a Mercury 400 Verado.
