UFC superstar Conor McGregor has not had a good run lately, but you won't see him sulking about it. The brash Irishman makes no bones about his love for the finer things, and despite being outclassed at UFC 264 by Dustin Poirier and breaking his leg in the process, he still gets to ride off into the sunset. In a boat, anyway.
McGregor just took delivery of his custom Lamborghini 63 by Tecnomar, a 63 foot high-powered luxury yacht with an estimated $4 million price tag. The 63 is a boutique ensemble of old school Lamborghini style (the "63" is both the length of the boat and an ode to Lambo's first year in business), and ultra-modern tech from Tecnomar. Not only is the yacht modeled after Lambo's recently developed hybrid Sián Supercar, it also has old school kickbacks to the Countach and Miura of the 60's and 70's. Tecnomar provides the modern touch with carbon fiber accents, a futuristic layout, 4000 horsepower, dual diesel V12's, a top speed of 60 knots (70 mph), and the epic nickname of "Supercar of the Sea."
McGregor added a variety of custom features, all of which started with securing the 12th production slot in honour of his Proper No. 12 Irish whiskey. The boat is also done in green to match his Irish green aesthetic. Speaking of which, McGregor just sold his share of the company in a $600 million deal to catapult himself atop the Forbes list of highest paid athletes. The deal netted the former UFC 'Champ-Champ' an estimated $180 million in 2021 alone. That extra scratch should help keep the gas tanks full, which might come in handy considering the boat burns 100 gallons of fuel per hour while at a cruising speed of 40-45 knots.
While McGregor is expected to be out of fighting action for at least a year, he'll likely be enjoying some R&R aboard his new ride. Let's hope they installed a ramp.
