David Gabriel has sailed since he first stepped aboard a boat at the age of nine, and since then has sailed and raced yachts at all levels including World and European championships. He has owned and worked a vast array of boats both sail and power so has a wide range of experience and understanding. The Marine Channel is the result of a collaboration between presenter and journalist Jason Dawe and David after a chance meeting in 2019, on a pontoon in Cornwall. Jason and David decided that there wasn’t enough great content being produced about all things nautical and so the idea for The Marine Channel was born and launched on YouTube.
