Richard has over 40 years experience in Canada's pleasure boat industry. He was a major boat retailer and co-owner of two marinas. He is a past President of the Ontario Marina Operators Association, past director of Allied Boating Association of Canada, a co-founder of the Marine Technology Recreation Program at Georgian College, and a part-time teacher in that program. He is author of the best-selling book, "Handbook of Boating Essentials," and was co-organizer of dozens of poker runs for high performance boats in both Canada and Eastern United States. He has travelled across North America testing and writing about boats, the people, and the industry. Richard is one of Canada's most prolific boat writers with over 500 published boat tests, reviews, and articles.
